Once you have clicked on the amount to purchase for a single or multiple recipients, kindly head on to checkout and put in the email address(es) of the recipient(s). SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Where do you ship to?

For Domestic Orders, we ship within Lagos and nationwide.

For International Orders, we ship worldwide.

What are the shipping costs and timeline for within Nigeria?

We have four (4) options for Lagos and Interstate deliveries; (see prices in the table below)

• Same Day Delivery (Orders placed before 2pm)

• Standard Delivery (1-3 working days)                             
• Interstate Delivery (3-7 working days)

What is the shipping information for international orders?

The cost of delivery is from N33,000 ($27 / £22). Kindly note that customs and duty fees may apply before or after your item is received, especially for customers in the U.K., France, Germany. Delivery timeline does not apply to weekends, holidays, or any unforeseen events. 

For international orders, please note that customs and duties fees may be applicable for customers especially in the UK, France and Germany. These fees would need to be paid before or after your item is received. 

The timeline stated below does not apply to weekends, holidays or any unforeseen events, including those on the courier's end (weather conditions, scarcity, etc.). Kindly note that delays can occur due to custom checks in certain countries which would unfortunately prolong the delivery timeframe. In the event that such should occur, the customer will be contacted and informed about the new estimated delivery time frame.

If an order is placed after 2pm on Fridays, it will be processed on the next working day. The estimated delivery duration may also be delayed if there is a change submitted on the customer’s end. What materials are the jewellery made out of?

We have multiple jewellery types:

• Fashion Jewellery - Gold plated with a base of stainless steel or brass metal

Our fashion jewellery are made out of stainless steel or brass, coated in 18ct fine gold which can last 2-5 years. Moderation with water is advised for all jewellery. 

• Demi Fine Jewellery - Gold vermeil, base of 925 silver 

Our demi-fine jewellery, made with up to 92.5% silver, comes with a polishing cloth for maintenance.

What is the length of the chain/necklaces?

We use adjustable chains which makes them versatile in terms of how you choose to wear them. On each product page, the length of the chain is stated along with the extender length, which makes it suitable to be worn shorter or slightly longer. We thoughtfully curated pieces that can be styled in different ways. Check out these collections of chains/necklaces here.

How do I get my ring size?

We have two (2) options to help you get the perfect size before getting a ring(s).

Option A: You can work with a ring you currently have. Measure the internal diameter in mm, then match it with our ring size chart.

Option B: Measure your finger's circumference in mm and find the closest size on our chart.

How do I store my jewellery?

We recommend storing your jewellery individually, in a Refine soft pouch, and/or a lined box. Ensuring it is untangled and doesn’t rub on other jewellery pieces. You can find more information here.

How do I clean my demi-fine jewellery?

It's quite easy to get through cleaning your demi-fine jewellery. You can start with the silver polishing cloth in your package. You will find detailed information here.

How do I clean my fashion jewellery?

For your fashion jewelllery pieces, you can take out tarnish with a soft-bristle toothbrush, mild soap, and warm water. See more information here.

About Brass

Brass metal is for jewellery meant to last as it is strong and durable. It is hypoallergenic and won’t cause irritation which makes it a great option for those with sensitive skin. Brass metal usually has a warm, golden colour that adds richness to any piece. While it tarnishes over time, it can be easily polished to restore its shine. About Stainless Steel

Stainless steel offers a long-lasting, affordable, and low maintenance jewellery option, owing to its strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. It offers a cool feel that looks sleek and modern. It usually requires minimal maintenance as it is tarnish-resistant. Unlike our demi-fine pieces, it is weightier and much more affordable. About Gold Vermeil (Our Demi-Fine Collection)

Gold vermeil features a sterling silver base which contains 92.5% silver, it is durable and won’t wear down quickly. Gold vermeil jewellery looks like solid gold, but at a more affordable price point. Although it has a life-time use potential, it requires special care to retain its shine and quality. Is gold plating the same as gold vermeil?

Gold vermeil is superior to gold plating. Gold vermeil is used to legally define jewellery with sterling silver base which is 92.5% silver + 7.5 copper or other durable metals with gold plating of about 2.5 microns thick. Gold plating uses other metals aside from sterling silver such as stainless steel, copper, brass with gold plating of at least 0.5 microns thick which is 5x less than gold vermeil. Gold vermeil is superior to gold plating in terms of longevity, value, and quality. Our demi-fine pieces are plated in gold vermeil.

Is gold vermeil considered real gold?

Owing to its thick layer of gold plating, it is regarded in a similar category with real gold jewellery. The major difference between real gold jewellery and gold vermeil jewellery is that vermeil uses sterling silver as the base while real gold uses gold base. Our demi-fine pieces are in 18ct gold vermeil which is 18k (75% pure gold + 15% alloy) gold in 2.5 micron gold plating thickness which is more durable with great quality. 

Why should I buy gold vermeil jewellery?

You should consider REFINE’s gold vermeil/demi-fine jewellery for these reasons: 

• Gold vermeil is a durable and affordable alternative to real gold jewellery 
• Due to its thickness in gold, it is durable to last for many years
• Considering that the base is 92.5% sterling silver, it is hypoallergenic, nickel free, and suitable for all skin types

Is gold vermeil waterproof?

We do not consider our jewellery waterproof. To ensure longevity of your jewellery, we advise minimal contact with water and moisture. Long exposure to water and sweat can induce tarnishing and reduce jewellery shine. You can get more information on preventive care and maintenance here.

What is your warranty period?

We offer a warranty period of 3-months from the date of purchase. You can check here for the terms and condition confining the warranty.

Can I return or ask for a refund?

We prioritize your safety and quality assurance. Refunds or returns for our jewellery are only accepted if the items are unsatisfactory or unfit for use (applies to sale items). 

Kindly contact us here within 48 hours of receiving your package for review. Eligible cases receive store credit within 8 days post-investigation.
